Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts seeks an Assistant Technical Director to supervise and direct technical over hire staff and work alongside the Technical Director assisting in all stage and performance related operations including running crews, planning, scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, event management and stage labor. It is a full-time position, salary commensurate with experience, benefits after three months.
 
Responsibilities include supervision of performances, events, and rentals. Hire, maintain contacts, and supervise and direct various technical crews and running crews. Provide support in all production areas including production and labor scheduling, performance budgeting, and planning and coordinating the use of all stages and stage related equipment. Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Technical Director.
 
College degree or equivalent experience is required with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in theatrical production management required. A wide and thorough knowledge of technical theater practices required. Knowledge and demonstrated skills in stage carpentry, rigging, electrics, sound, stage design, touring, special effects, mechanization, drafting, structural engineering, and theater design. Ability to draft in Auto/CAD and/or Vectorworks highly desired.Familiarity with proper safety protocols for theatrical productions, OSHA & fire codes.
