In his Wallis debut, world-renowned pianist and intellectual giant Jonathan Biss tackles both Beethoven’s fiery “Tempest” and Schumann’s unparalleled Fantasie in C, arguably Schumann’s greatest work for solo piano.

Mr. Biss is a Steinway Artist. This concert is made possible by generous support from Susan and Peter Strauss.

Ticketholders are welcome to a very special Preludes @ The Wallis in the Bram Goldsmith Theater at 6:30pm. Classical KUSC's Brian Lauritzen will be joined by vocalist Sussan Deyhim, wildUp founder and conductor Christopher Rountree and pianist Ory Shihor to discuss The Wallis’ 2017/18 Classical Music programming. Deyhim's installation opera The House is Black, wildUp and Shihor’s Last Thoughts: Schubert’s Final Trilogy are all featured in the 2017/18 season, and are currently on sale. Attendees are invited to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, courtesy of The Henry Wine Group. Join us for a deeper dive into the musical offerings of the season!
